EduZim is an offline-first mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we handle.

What We Collect

Nothing by default. EduZim works entirely offline. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data from your device as part of normal usage. All your study progress, quiz scores, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your phone.

License Activation

When you activate a license key, we validate it against our servers once. The license key is a cryptographic token that confirms your subscription — it does not contain personal information. After activation, the app operates entirely offline.

WhatsApp Communication

If you contact us via WhatsApp for support or to purchase a license, your WhatsApp number and message content are visible to our support team. We use this solely to assist you and deliver your license key. We do not share your number with third parties.

If the number used to complete an EcoCash payment is different from your own — for example, a parent or guardian's — that number is processed solely to complete the payment through our payment processor (Pesepay) and is not shared with third parties beyond that.

AI Tutor (Shamiso)

Shamiso runs on-device using a local AI model. Your questions and conversations with Shamiso remain on your phone and are never sent to our servers.

Children's Privacy

EduZim is designed for students. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require an account, email address, or any personal identifiers to use.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the app.
